First Capital Factors opens its doors

Situated in Sutton Weaver, Cheshire, First Capital Factors has opened its doors for business.

In the recession 20 years ago RDM Factors was set up to address the predicament experienced by many small businesses who were looking for a funding partner to work with. A partner who would help them survive and prosper in very challenging times. The climate improved and RDM enjoyed long and successful relationships with many clients.

The climate has changed again. Cashflow is very tight and funding is more difficult. Flexibility and service have been forgotten by many funders as the credit crunch bites.

Now the team is back, with 60 years’ experience between them. As before, led by David Marsden as chairman and principal shareholder and once again supported by John Bush as risk management consultant, John Ackroyd as finance director and Julian Newton-Tyers as IT director.

David Marsden was chairman and founder of RDM Factors Ltd and is a chartered accountant with 20 years’ experience in the factoring industry. Whilst running the RDM Group David was a member of the executive committee of the trade association, the FDA (now the ABFA) for 10 years, serving as chairman for two years.
