Ian Munford, consultant at niche law firm Bermans, celebrates completing 40 years at the company, after starting his career with the firm in 1979 and since becoming one of the country’s most well-known lawyers in the asset finance industry.
His first major client was Anglo Leasing in 1979, initially focussing on litigation, and since then he has since developed a wide client base of funders, discounters and brokers, providing advice and assistance on most areas of asset finance including documentation, asset and debt recovery, risk advice, dispute resolution and regulatory work.
Ian, who leads the firm’s asset finance department, continues to enjoy his role and his client relationships, and hopes to carry on working and assisting with the development of the Bermans asset finance team for some time.
Alex Chapman, head of Bermans ABL team, says:
“Ian has created and shaped the Bermans asset finance profile and brand within its ABL team throughout his lengthy and successful career and can be rightly proud of his invaluable contribution to its reputation and achievements. The Bermans offering to its commercial finance clients would be greatly diminished without his presence throughout that time. We congratulate him on reaching this significant milestone.”
Bermans is an established market leader in asset finance and their clients include national and international lessors of all sizes, discounters and other receivables financiers, brokers and intermediaries. The firm regularly hosts specialist asset finance events and produces well received asset based lending publications.
