An exciting and new opportunity has been created within a long-established but growing UK commercial/SME finance business, working as part of the business strategy team. The channel development manager will work closely with the partnerships manager, and will be responsible for innovatively seeking and establishing new business development partnerships and distribution channels for the company’s array of funding products to SMEs. You will also work closely with the product team in the development of new product initiatives that support increased distribution.
Identify, initiate and secure new partnership opportunities from a range of sources in order to drive new product delivery and strategic partnerships.
Introduce productive, professional relationships with key personnel in potential partnering businesses, establishing long-term business relationships in line with the group’s vision.
Proactively assess, clarify and validate partner needs from the outset.
Develop and grow the strategic partnerships and investigate opportunities in the market to exploit provision of partnership services and income growth.
Work closely with product leads, project manager and partnerships manager on an ongoing basis.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the entire range of group products and services.
Key skills and knowledge:
Proven sales and sales management performance required.
Strong relationship/networking skills.
Ability to engage in high-level discussions. Typical points of contact within businesses will include strategy directors, CFOs and CEOs.
Be able to think outside the box and identify new opportunities with prospective partners.
