A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Invoice Finance Risk professional to join an expanding global finance business in the heart of the City of London. This is a unique opportunity to work for a market leading business operating out of over 30 countries around the world, specialising in financing confirmed invoices of small and medium-sized enterprises through invoice discounting in emerging and underserved markets. They unlock the value of invoices as financeable assets, particularly for women-owned businesses, through local financial institutions (“factors”) or directly via invoicing technology platforms.

The Risk team is responsible for the assessment and management of risk related issues relating all investments made by the fund, and collateral held as security. In addition to assessing credit and operational risks related to specific transactions, the risk team is also responsible for monitoring a variety of macroeconomic risk variables.

Your role will be to capture, review and analyse data to allow the origination, monitoring and management of the company’s loan portfolio in over 30 countries around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial analysis of borrowers and collateral.
  • Recommend credit limits for borrowers and sub-limits for individual companies within that borrower's portfolio.
  • Interacting with clients and assisting the investment team with making tactical investment decisions with limited timelines.
  • Conduct onsite and remote audits of clients to ensure compliance with covenants and alignment with company investment goals.

Ideal Background:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar position within an asset management, banking or consulting environment.
  • Degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics/Accounting/Engineering. CFA Level II or higher a plus but not required.
  • Mastery of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a small, dynamic but high-pressured environment with confidence and competence.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines are a must.
