Our client is leading international  service provider to the SME market set up as joint venture between a US and UK business two years ago and with 50 years of experience from its parent companies.

They provide these services across six locations across Europe (UK, Germany, Benelux, France, Italy and Norway).

The company is seeking a European Telesales Manager to join the central Sales & Marketing  department. They are an aggressive sales-led organisation, and require an experienced telesales lead to coordinate and drive performance. Their  telesales capability is in it’s infancy, formed during 2015 with the total telesales & customer maintenance European team of over 50 staff being ready to evolve and grow this year.

The success of this considerable investment in telesales resource, is paramount to the overall success of the company  over the next five years, giving them a blended telesales & field sales function, coupled with the targeting of SME customers through our telesales model is the clear strategy the company will follow in the market through 2016-2020.

The telesales model is well defined in the UK market,  however is less commonplace across Europe representing an opportunity to drive different approaches in each country to recognize local needs.

The role is supported by a European Telesales Training Manager, the current incumbent having considerable experience  in the UK market, together with an experienced UK Team Leader and in-country leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Optimising consistent telesales performance through oversight of recruitment, training, coaching and performance of all telesales teams across Europe
  • Develop training programs with support of European Telesales Training Manager
  • Ensure best practice is applied in all telesales teams, incorporating use of in-house developed systems (Cruise / Velocity).
  • Develop Customer Maintenance teams to minimise customer attrition levels, and introduce effective cross-selling of new  products to existing customer portfolio.
  • Implement full KPI reporting, including call monitoring and effectiveness of agent operations.
  • Work closely with the  Marketing team to define campaigns, marketing collateral and other marketing initiatives to maximize effectiveness of telesales resource.

  • Strong relationship building skills; both internally and externally.
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Regular travel (including overnight stays) will be required.
