Our client, one of the UK's leading independent providers of financial services to businesses requires a Head of Sales to join their senior management team in the South of England.
You will be responsible for leading and developing the sales team to maximise business opportunity, drive new business clients and income in addition to contributing towards long term company strategy.
The existing team covers territories in the South of England and business is sourced from a network of professional introducers including accountants, solicitors, brokers and corporate finance boutiques.
Whilst the role is primarily based around leadership, coaching and mentoring of the team there is also an element of retaining your own pipeline of new business and therefore an in depth understanding of the local market is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to display a comprehensive understanding of business finance and in particular factoring and invoice discounting, in addition to a proven and successful sales record in this or a related sector.
Whilst preference will be given to candidates with proven leadership skills this is not essential, however the ability to inspire others is essential.
