Our client is a UK based financial services group and one of the largest independent invoice finance companies in the world. They have a market leading position in the UK and an exceptional reputation for new business delivery and client relationship management.

In recent years the trade finance and international division has grown significantly and is now a key contributor to group profits and poised for further expansion based on this success.

Purpose of the role:
  • To work with the MD, local sales teams and the client service teams to drive a deal doing culture for the newly formed business centre.
  • To be the conduit between local sales teams and client service teams to maximise new business for trade and international, and to proactively promote the brand throughout the region.
  • To support the sales teams by providing technical support to structure deals and drive knowledge into the local sales teams.
  • To proactively oversee the management of client relationships on the basis of prolonging client life through excellent risk management and service delivery.
  • To lead and ensure the smooth running of the trade and international business centre on day to day basis.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
  • Manage a team of ten with responsibility for a portfolio of client relationships, assist in the Sales process to ensure clients have a smooth transition from take on to ‘going live’.  Monitor the risk of the portfolio thus minimising financial loss. 
  • Lead and inspire the relationship mangers and relationship executives to deliver an excellent operational service to the client business through their team
  • Seek opportunities to generate income from the client portfolio by delivering an excellent level of client service with our core offering together with the enhancement of value added services to meet the client’s needs and expectations.
  • Oversee the smooth day to day operation of the business centre.
  • Develop and maintain own network of business connections in the local area. Upholding the reputation of the business and demonstrating the key behaviour.
  • Through proactive analysis and understanding of the client business maintains client commitment/prolonging client life.
  • Through liaison with relationship and relationship executives ensure excellent standards of customer service are implemented and maintained.

Strong leadership skills are essential in the role and whilst a technical knowledge of trade finance is preferred we would equally consider someone who is leading a UK invoice finance client management team.  You will be a key contributor to the future strategy and direction of this division and strong performance will lead to career development opportunities.
