Job Vacancy: Relationship Manager £1-10m turnover – Commercial Banking - CBC Resourcing Solutions



£40,000 to £55,000 plus bonus, car and benefits

Our client is a leading global banking organisation who are looking to recruit a relationship manager within their SME Banking team in Liverpool. The relationship manager role manages a small portfolio of clients that turnover between £1 -£10m. The role is also about collaborating with partner companies to get out into the market place and deliver an external professional strategy to really become the Best Bank for Business.

This role suits a self-motivated, challenge-driven individual who is currently in the banking sector or in a b2b role in the financial services sector. At the heart of this role is client interaction; developing long-term relationships, being in a position to deliver both positive and difficult messages, negotiate and influence. It is also about championing the client first and becoming a real part of the business community. This will be an extremely rewarding role which provides considerable opportunity for personal development and excellent exposure to external clients and internal senior management.

Key accountabilities:
  • Ensure the balance between risk and reward of assets is effectively managed ensuring that all lending and contingent liabilities meet the bank’s asset quality and policy requirements.
  • Be seen as the “go to” banker in the area. High profile with external influencers and the local business community to achieve the bank’s aim of being number one in the local market working closely with retail, business development and other internal clients. 
  • Promote the bank’s image in the local community/market with a range of stakeholders including influential, high value clients in order to develop business
  • Role model client centric behaviour and challenge non client centric behaviour when observed.
  • Identifying client needs and develop strategies and solutions to meet those needs, leveraging product, coverage and support teams where relevant. Responding to clients’ key moments of truth including lending which cannot be fulfilled by the client services team.
  • Responsibility for all income, product sales and risk within their own portfolio of clients.
  • Ensure activities complies with internal and external polices (including credit), asset quality, standards, reporting, legal, statutory and /or regulatory requirements.

  • Holder of accreditation recognised in the key market as evidence of sector expertise and enabling the manager to leverage an advantage of competitors

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of the companies propositions, products and services
