Law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) is pleased to announce its latest recruit, Lynn Shearing, who will join as the Newcastle corporate team's client relationship director.

Lynn will take on a dedicated role helping the team strengthen relationships with both corporate and business partners who operate in the north.

Lynn is a well-known figure in the north east business community having worked for over 15 years within PwC's  Newcastle corporate finance team and more recently at private equity backed Parkdean Resorts as their M&A director. During this time Lynn has spent a significant amount of time understanding the strategic priorities of businesses and building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Ben Butler, partner in the corporate team, said: "It's great that Lynn is joining us as she is very well connected in the region and understands corporate transactions both from the perspective of an adviser and a client. She is a great addition to the team. Her appointment forms an important part of our continued focus on and investment in the north east market."

Lynn commented: "Womble Bond Dickinson has a fantastic reputation, an enviable client base and unparalleled strength and depth of services in its Newcastle office. I am very excited to join the corporate team who have both a wealth of experience in delivering successful transactional outcomes for their clients and a real passion to work even closer with the north east business community, that I am very proud to be a part of Womble Bond Dickinson."

Womble Bond Dickinson's Newcastle-based corporate team continues to go from strength to strength. Last year Womble Bond Dickinson has advised on numerous deals across the region, worth in excess of £1bn. The success follows on from an impressive performance when the team celebrated a fantastic month in June 2018 after closing five multi-million pound transactions in the north east alone, confirming its position as the region's leading corporate team.
