Job description:

Based in central London, this is an opportunity to join a leading bank, and involves managing and developing a portfolio of between 80 and 150 existing commercial relationships with customers who have a mid-range income of between £1-5m with particular emphasis on high standards of personal service whilst minimising risk and maximising income. Your role also involves undertaking risk assessments and providing detailed proposals for credit underwriters. You will plan and prioritise your own time, ensure that work is actioned promptly, efficiently and within compliance regulations, building rapport, trust and effective relationships with customers and communicating with a diverse range of colleagues and customers from varying backgrounds and experience.

Essential skills:

With a background in commercial banking, you will be driven and determined to exceed goals and customer expectations, be calm and relaxed even under pressure, and be outgoing in influencing and negotiating. You also need to be able to write clear and concise reports, putting forward your case on why credit applications should be approved. The ability to conduct a thorough risk assessment and accurately analyse trends, financial data, market information and company status to make informed decisions regarding credit is also required.
