DigitalBoost support helps Stirlingshire hypnotherapy practice ‘change for good’

A hypnotherapy business has been able to invest in critical equipment and implement new ways of working after accessing help and funding through DigitalBoost, Scotland’s national digital upskilling programme, delivered by Business Gateway.

Change for Good Therapies was launched in 2019 by hypnotherapist, nurse, and lecturer Liz Cornwallis. Originally inspired by the transformation hypnotherapy brought to her own life, Liz helps people change stubborn behaviours, habits and problems for good. Specialising in anxiety, phobias and weight loss, Liz uses friendly hypnotherapy, coaching and the latest mind techniques to help individuals overcome these issues.

In 2019, Liz worked with Business Gateway to finalise her marketing plan, and the team helped her access further specialist marketing support through the ERDF scheme.

Throughout the pandemic Liz continued to work with Business Gateway as she adapted her operations to offer online therapy services. Through DigitalBoost, Scotland’s national digital upskilling programme, Liz accessed £1,353 in funding from the Digital Development scheme. This allowed her to purchase essential equipment such as a new laptop, mobile phone, lights, and microphones. This has helped her expand her overall market reach and offer hypnotherapy to clients across Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Liz plans to create self-hypnosis video courses and launch an app to help people make positive changes in their lives from the comfort of their own home. More recently, Liz had a 1:1 session with an IT specialist to help her as she sets about using a CRM system to help her implement an automated booking system.
