Director appointed at Smith Cooper’s Birmingham office, bolstering the team’s presence in the region
Accountants and business advisors Smith Cooper are delighted to announce the promotion of Paul Kurowski to director.
Paul joined Smith Cooper 3 years ago as a senior manager in the firm’s audit team and recently completed his application to become a responsible individual, meaning that he is now legally authorised to sign audit reports on behalf of Smith Cooper Audit.
Responsible for looking after a diverse portfolio of clients, Paul will continue to provide advice on compliance issues and general business operations, conduct strategic business reviews and ensure all clients are fully compliant with statutory requirements.
Paul will also continue to sit on the firm’s National Audit Committee, which is responsible for developing and maintaining the quality of Smith Cooper’s audit procedures.
In light of his promotion, Paul comments “I am delighted to have been promoted to Director, and I look forward to continue working closely alongside all of our clients to provide the support they require to achieve their goals.”
Stephen Newman, partner based in Smith Coopers Birmingham office comments “We are proud to announce Paul’s promotion, which is testament to the work and commitment he has demonstrated since joining Smith Cooper in 2016.”
“Paul has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of audit and assurance, having accumulated over 20 years’ experience in both industry and practice roles, and his progression is very well deserved. Having worked in various types of business before moving into practice, Paul understands the audit process from both a client and auditor perspective.”
He continues “Our audit practice here in Birmingham has grown significantly over recent years, and this growth has enabled promotion opportunities such as this. Paul’s promotion will provide new capacity for continued growth in the region, whilst continuing to deliver the high-quality service that our clients are accustomed to.”
