Investec launches customisable flexible trading account
Investec Capital Solutions is pleased to announce the launch of the Investec Flexible Trading Account.
Investec is offering the Flexible Trading Account, a multifaceted solution which supports growth by providing working capital and cashflow throughout the buying and sales cycle with FX and hedging facilities. This account is designed to help clients, especially exporters and manufacturers, effectively manage their supply chains and cash flow which can be challenged during times of volatility. In particular, the account will help businesses to trade more smoothly through Brexit uncertainty.
Brexit is one of the biggest challenges currently faced by UK SMEs, with 29% expecting the UK leaving the European Union to have a negative effect on their business; a similar proportion (34%) expect that access to finance will become more difficult post-departure. At Investec we want to help our clients access working capital in a way that suits their business. One of the key benefits on the flexible trading account in the current environment is its hedging facility.
The Investec Flexible Trading Account is a simple, comprehensive solution that can be adapted to meet the specific needs of your business, allowing businesses to plan more effectively while reducing the complexity and administrative burden of dealing with multiple departments of a conventional bank. The account is built around Investec’s Intelligent Cashflow digital platform which integrates seamlessly with existing finance systems, putting businesses in control of their working capital in real-time.
The account includes a revolving credit facility option which can be used to generate additional cash to pay suppliers early and to finance stock before it turns into invoices. If suppliers are overseas, Investec can help to ensure that businesses have an appropriate hedging strategy in place, even making payments to suppliers directly in the local currency required. The account is designed to support a wide variety of sectors, but in particular companies who operate in a business-to-business environment, need working capital for purchases and have additional cashflow needs at any stage of the business cycle.
John Wilde, head of Investec Capital Solutions, commented:
“Working capital is the lifeblood of any company. Businesses need funds at different points of the buying and sales cycle and often have to access an array of products to meet those requirements. We believe that businesses across the UK will benefit from this solution’s ease of use, integrated digital platform and having experienced relationship managers readily available.”
