Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group buys Shipleys corporate recovery practice
Insolvency and corporate recovery specialist Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group has acquired the work in progress (WIP) of the insolvency practice of chartered accountants and professional business advisers Shipleys LLP.
The transaction was completed on 19 February 2015 and is the latest in a series of WIP purchases completed by Leonard Curtis. The SME recovery specialist, which has 10 offices nationwide, previously bought the WIP of insolvency practitioners J M Marriott & Co in 2012 and also acquired the majority of the caseload of Bridge Business Recovery LLP in 2011.
Neil Bennett, director, Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group, said: “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of the WIP of Shipleys’ insolvency practice. We see the deal as an opportunity to reinforce our position in the market as a key provider of insolvency services.”
“We share a similar ethos to Shipleys, which will ensure a smooth transition of the business.”
Steve Ryman, principal, Shipleys LLP, said: “The transaction enables us to refocus on our core business of providing professional business advisory services to our clients.”
