Record-breaking year for Gloucestershire firm

Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team broke all records in 2019, advising on transactions worth more than £1bn.

In the twelve months to 31 December 2019, the team completed 205 deals valued at £1.012bn. This compares to 209 transactions worth £851m 2018.

It is the first time Hazlewoods has burst through the £1bn barrier and represents a 19% increase in deal value on the previous year.

Despite a snap general election and business uncertainty over the UK’s exit from Europe, Hazlewoods has bucked the trend and found the appetite for UK mergers and acquisitions to be buoyant.

It is the fourth year of growth in a row for the Gloucestershire-based firm which was named the most active corporate finance adviser in the South West by Experian last year.
