Stuart Hare
We have today been notified of the death of Stuart Hare.
A bulwark of the NACFB in its early days and one of the most genuine and agreeable people you could ever meet, he will be remembered in an obituary in the next Business Money magazine.
Please let me have a note of any happy memories you have of Stuart so I may add them. It is very sad news but I think that is how Stuart would like to be remembered.

Graham Hill writes:
It is with deep regret and sadness that I have to announce the passing of a great personal friend and one of the original founders of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers(NACFB), Stuart Hare. I had known Stuart since I merged the British Lease Brokers Association (BLBA) with the NACFB in 1996. We both served on the board for many years and Stuart was my Finance Director when I took over as chairman in 2002 and 3. Stuart, along with other core members; Dick Appleby, Mark Alexander and Chris Arnold started the association which has become the market force that it is today. Not only supporting its members and patrons but also influencing Government, the association was something that Stuart was immensely proud of. Unknown by many, Stuart was almost single handedly responsible for arranging the first ever conference which has now become one of the biggest and best supported dinner and awards ceremonies in the finance industry. Stuart passed away on the evening of Thursday 3rd July at the age of 52. As yet we have no cause of death. He leaves behind 3 children, of whom he spoke often, and his brother Steve, whom many older members will remember worked in partnership with Stuart for many years and fully supported his activities within the NACFB. Our thoughts and condolences go out to them and all other members of his family who are terribly shocked by Stuart’s sudden passing.
We will provide more details as we are made aware of them along with details of the funeral for those wishing to pay their respects.
