Turnbull Challenge raises £7500
On behalf of my fellow Turnbull Challenge Team mates, Ian Burman (ABN Amro Commercial Finance), Mat Smith and Mark Cobb (IGF Invoice Finance), our driver, Si “The Stig” Adcock (CVR Global) and our chef / navigator/co-driver, Steve Leeves, we would like to thank everyone who generously supported us in completing the 3 Peaks over this past weekend.
A special thanks to the partners of CVR Global for sponsoring our transport for the weekend and also to the directors of IGF Invoice Finance for providing our food, drink and nourishment! We would also like to thank Bob Lefroy and Sophie Grove at Business Money for giving us great coverage and attach the article which appeared in Business Money magazine.
We set out to raise awareness and funds for the Ellenor Hospice, who took fantastic care of Shona and her young family and who rely heavily on the generosity of the public for charitable funding to carry out the work that they do. Our target was to raise £5,000 and we have been absolutely delighted to have raised nearly £7,500 with donations still coming in.
We received a message of support from Andrew, Shona’s husband, just as we arrived in Fort William, and preparing ourselves for Ben Nevis, which was a real motivator, and after we had finished we saw the message from Shona’s sister, Joanna, on the Just Giving page which reminded us why we were doing this.
I attach some pictures of us sweating our way through the challenge in some stunning parts of the country. If anyone would like to still donate – please do feel free to do so by clicking on https://www.justgiving.com/TurnbullChallenge
