Arbuthnot Latham appoints Simon New as chief operating officer
Arbuthnot Latham and Co., Ltd. (‘Arbuthnot Latham’), the private and commercial bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon New as chief operating officer. In addition to his executive role, Simon has also joined Arbuthnot Latham’s Board of Directors.
He succeeds Daniel Dagg, who has contributed significantly to the bank over more than nine years. Daniel will be stepping back from his executive responsibilities but will remain with Arbuthnot Latham until the end of the year to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.
Simon brings over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector, spanning both private and commercial banking, with significant expertise across strategic transformation, credit, and customer experience. He joins from FNZ Group, a global wealth management technology provider, where he was chief customer officer, following senior leadership roles at Iress and EY. He began his career at Lloyds TSB, where he spent over twelve years building a strong foundation in private and commercial banking.
