UK regional diversity and opportunity championed by UK Black Business Entrepreneurs Conference 2026
The UK Black Business Entrepreneurs Conference (BBEC) today reinforced its commitment to fostering Black entrepreneurial success across the entire United Kingdom, announcing further details of its 5th-anniversary event in July 2026. Under the theme “Innovation, Technology and Doing Business Globally,” the conference will spotlight diverse talent and opportunities beyond London, and organisations from the public, private and 3rd sectors in attendance, ensuring that Black businesses nationwide have access to vital resources and networks.
Building on its reputation as the UK’s leading event for Black entrepreneurs, BBEC 2026 is dedicated to showcasing the breadth of innovation and leadership emerging from all corners of the nation. The speaker line-up reflects this commitment, featuring influential figures whose work and impact extend far beyond the capital.
Among the distinguished speakers highlighting this nationwide focus are:
* Danny Manu, the visionary founder and CEO of Manchester-based Mymanu, a technology company at the forefront of innovation.
* Dr. David Dunkley Gyimah, an Associate Professor at Cardiff University, bringing his expertise in journalism and media innovation from Wales.
* Shaun Sookoo, a serial entrepreneur based in Birmingham, recognised for his extensive work in e-commerce and multiple directorships.
* Carol Glenn, a trailblazer in motorsport from Buckinghamshire, who has made history as the first Black woman to lead a national motorsport team in the UK
“The strength of Black British business lies in its diversity, not just in sectors, but in geography,” stated Dr. Carlton, founder of the BBEC. “While London is a significant hub, we firmly believe that talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit thrive in every city and region of the UK. BBEC 2026 is designed to be a platform that champions this nationwide potential, providing equitable access to knowledge, networks, and opportunities for all Black entrepreneurs, regardless of their location. We are proud to feature speakers who embody this national reach and inspire inclusivity.”
The conference will offer a dynamic programme of panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions, tailored to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by businesses across the UK. Attendees from all regions are encouraged to participate and connect with peers, mentors, and investors.
