Bristol to host major investor pitch event connecting regional startups with capital
Britain’s Got Startups (BGS), the national platform connecting regional entrepreneurs with investors, will bring its Southern Showcase to Bristol on 28 April, gathering high-growth founders from across the South West and South East to pitch in front of leading investors and industry figures.
Serial entrepreneur Jenson Brook created Britain’s Got Startups (BGS) to tackle one of the quiet inefficiencies of the UK startup ecosystem: the funding gap between London and everywhere else. While 53% of Britain’s high-growth businesses are based outside London, they receive just 39% of investment. Brook’s programme aims to change that by creating direct links between regional talent and capital.
“London already has the networks and capital,” said Brook. “But outside the capital, regional founders are building remarkable businesses without that support. Britain’s Got Startups was created to help level the playing field and draw attention to where innovation is really happening.”

Since its founding, BGS has helped raise over £10m for startups outside of London. The Bristol event is part of the 2026 regional showcase series, designed to elevate local founders and encourage investors to look beyond London for opportunities.
The Bristol showcase will feature a curated group of ventures including those spanning technology, engineering, and sustainable industry, alongside investors seeking credible regional deal flow from South West and South East.

- BGS Central Showcase – Wales, Midlands & East England, 7 May, Nottingham (Broadway Cinema, Nottingham, England)
