Duncan & Toplis’ Kay Botley appointed to AISMA Board
Duncan & Toplis has announced that Kay Botley, business services director and head of healthcare, has been appointed to the board of the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (AISMA).
AISMA is a specialist network of accountancy firms that advises healthcare professionals and medical practices across the UK. Kay’s appointment reflects her long-standing experience supporting healthcare clients and further strengthens Duncan & Toplis’ position in the sector.
Kay joined Duncan & Toplis in 2001 and has built a strong portfolio of clients across the healthcare sector, working with GP practices and other healthcare organisations across the Midlands, East Anglia and beyond. She supports clients with long-term planning, helping practices maximise income, manage tax liabilities and make informed financial decisions.

She also plays a key role in the production of Duncan & Toplis’ annual healthcare benchmarking report, which helps practices measure their performance against others both locally and nationally.
Kay’s appointment comes at a time when healthcare providers continue to face financial and operational pressures, including workforce challenges, funding constraints and increasing regulatory demands. Duncan & Toplis continues to invest in specialist expertise to support healthcare businesses as they navigate these challenges.
Kay officially joined the AISMA board on 1 May 2026.
Kay Botley said: “I’m delighted to join the AISMA board and contribute to an organisation that plays an important role in supporting specialist medical accountants across the UK. Healthcare providers continue to face significant financial and operational pressures, and having access to specialist advice has never been more important. I’m looking forward to sharing insights, working alongside fellow board members and continuing to support our clients as the sector evolves.”
Damon Brain, chief executive officer, Duncan & Toplis added: “Kay’s appointment is a reflection of the expertise she has built over many years and the trusted relationships she has developed across the healthcare sector. She plays an important role within Duncan & Toplis, and this appointment further strengthens our healthcare offering. It also reinforces our commitment to investing in sector expertise that delivers real value to clients.”
