DSG partner Andrew Moss appointed deputy chair of DFK UK & Ireland
Andrew Moss, partner at DSG, an independent accountancy and advisory firm, has been appointed deputy chair of DFK UK & Ireland, an association of independent accounting firms established in 1996.
Having been with DSG for over two decades, Andrew has built a strong reputation as a trusted business adviser, supporting owner-managed businesses through pivotal moments including acquisitions, disposals and long-term value planning.
DSG has been a member of DFK UK & Ireland, part of DFK International, since 2011. DFK International is an association of like-minded accounting and advisory firms. The alliance brings together independently owned and managed member firms across more than 430 offices in over 85 countries, providing audit, tax and advisory services and operating to a shared standard of excellence.
For DSG clients with overseas requirements, DFK enables access to trusted, in-market advice from fellow member firms, while overseas firms can benefit from DSG’s local expertise across the North of England.
As deputy chair, Andrew will help to oversee the association’s activities across the UK and Ireland, which comprises over 140 partners and almost 1,600 members of staff.
Andrew’s appointment comes as DFK UK & Ireland marks its 30-year anniversary. The anniversary will be celebrated at its latest annual conference in Liverpool this September, the city where DSG was founded and remains headquartered since 1887.

Andrew said: “Being a part of DFK has enabled us to bring an international mindset to every conversation, sharing insight and capability in a way that makes our advisory more rounded, whilst delivering real value for our clients. I’m incredibly proud to step into the role of deputy chair and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the association to strengthen collaboration and help businesses access trusted advice wherever they operate.”
Mark Ashfield, chairman and executive officer for DFK UK & Ireland, added: “Andrew’s appointment is a strong endorsement of the quality of leadership and advisory expertise within the DFK association. I’m looking forward to working closely with him as deputy chair as we build on 30 years’ collaboration across the UK & Ireland and continue strengthening the support we provide to businesses with ambitions beyond their home market.”
