Corporate finance appointment at North East business advisory
International accountancy and business advisory group Azets has further strengthened its corporate finance team in the North East with the appointment of Dom Caunt.
Dom joins Azets with 14 years’ experience advising owner managed and SMEs, primarily across corporate finance and M&A.
He brings a broad skillset spanning private equity investment, transaction execution and strategic advisory, with particular expertise supporting entrepreneurial businesses through growth, investment and succession events.
Dom will support a range of businesses owners and management teams across the North East as well as working with clients nationwide.

Dom worked in roles at Mazars, Deloitte, BDO and private equity house Foresight following graduation from the University of York with a BSc in Economics.
His experience includes business sales, acquisitions and buyouts, growth capital and private equity investment, strategic advisory and financial analysis.

Dom’s appointment follows that of Ben Hick, who joined Azets’ corporate finance team in its Leeds office in January of this year.
