AI-powered support platform Kinri Ltd secures Start Up Loan ahead of launch
Kinri Ltd, an AI-powered support platform designed to help neurodivergent adults build personalised routines and improve self-awareness, has secured a £15,000 loan through the British Business Bank’s Start Up Loans programme, delivered by BizBritain to support the platform’s development and launch.
Founded by Asa Hood, Kinri was inspired by Asa’s own experiences navigating mental health challenges and later discovering underlying ADHD after years of misdiagnosis. Following a serious leg injury that left him using a wheelchair, Asa faced a three-year wait for psychiatric support and began exploring new ways to manage his daily life while awaiting treatment.
During this period, Asa started researching artificial intelligence and developing systems to help create structure, manage routines and organise information. What began as a personal tool soon attracted interest from online communities who were facing similar challenges.
Recognising a wider need for accessible support tools, Asa founded Kinri Ltd and began working with a team of developers and healthcare professionals to build a platform tailored to the needs of neurodivergent adults.
Kinri combines adaptive routines, guided journaling and Echo, an AI companion designed to help users better understand themselves, build self-awareness and create personalised daily structures.
The Start Up Loan has enabled the business to continue developing the platform, invest in AI infrastructure, cover legal and operational costs and prepare for beta testing and launch.
As the business prepares for launch, Kinri Ltd has attracted a growing waiting list of prospective users and is also seeing interest from organisations exploring how the platform could support neurodivergent employees in the workplace.

Asa Hood, founder of Kinri Ltd, said: “Kinri started as a way for me to create structure and better understand myself during a difficult period of my life. After struggling with my mental health, being diagnosed with underlying ADHD, a serious leg injury that left me in a wheelchair and a long wait for psychiatric support, I began researching AI and building systems to help manage my routines and everyday life.
“As I shared what I was building with others, it became clear that many neurodivergent adults were facing similar challenges and looking for practical tools that could help them navigate daily life. Building Kinri has been an incredible journey, and the Start Up Loan has played an important role in helping us move from concept to launch.”
Suhail Nisar, business adviser at BizBritain, added: “Kinri is a strong example of how personal experience can be transformed into an innovative business with the potential to make a meaningful impact. Asa has identified a genuine need and developed a solution that could help many neurodivergent adults better understand themselves and build positive daily habits. We are proud to have supported Kinri through the Start Up Loans programme and look forward to seeing the business grow.”
