BCRS appoints business development manager to strengthen support for north Wales businesses
Community lender BCRS Business Loans has strengthened its support for businesses across north and mid Wales with the appointment of Rob Greasley as a business development manager.
Rob, 48 and from Wrexham, will work directly with business owners to understand their ambitions, challenges and plans for growth, supporting them as they seek to raise finance to achieve growth, safeguard jobs and create new employment opportunities.

Rob has worked in the finance sector for over 20 years having spent much of his career at Barclays and latterly, HSBC.
He said: “For me, the most important part of the role is getting to know the people behind the businesses and I am looking forward to taking the time to understand what they are trying to achieve, and how we can play our part to help.
“I’m really looking forward to building relationships with businesses across north and mid Wales and being someone they can talk to about their plans, whether they are looking to invest, grow, create jobs or take their business to the next stage.”
Rob will help Welsh businesses secure finance through BCRS’ role as the fund manager for the British Business Bank Smaller Loans Fund, part of the new £130m Investment Fund for Wales, and through the £20m allocated by the Community ENABLE Funding.
BCRS Business Loans chief executive Stephen Deakin commented on the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Rob to BCRS Business Loans, where he will play an important role in supporting businesses across the region.
“What really stands out is Rob’s passion for working directly with business owners and understanding what they are trying to achieve. For us, it’s about more than simply providing finance – our team takes the time to understand each business, its ambitions and the challenges it faces, and finding the right way to help.
“Rob will be a valuable point of contact for businesses across the region, helping them access the finance they need to grow, invest and create opportunities. We are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
