Renowned children’s choice nursery group in Poynton changes hands
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Children’s Choice Day Nursery Ltd, a highly successful group of two children’s day nurseries in Poynton, Cheshire.
Children’s Choice Day Nursery comprises two high-quality settings with a combined operating capacity for up to 109 children aged nought to five years. Conveniently located within walking distance of one another, the nurseries operate from sites in the centre of Poynton at 148 Park Lane and 97 Park Lane.
Founded in 2019 by Jemma Cummings, the flagship setting at 148 Park Lane is housed within a beautifully restored two-storey detached property, providing a warm, modern, and welcoming environment for children. Due to increasing demand from local families, the second setting at 97 Park Lane was acquired in 2024 and subsequently expanded through the acquisition and refurbishment of an adjoining property, further enhancing the group’s offering.
Both nurseries have been refurbished to an exceptional standard and feature bright, open-plan learning environments alongside extensive outdoor play facilities. Across the two sites, children benefit from four gardens incorporating mud kitchens, woodland areas, and climbing frames, creating engaging spaces for outdoor learning and exploration.
The group was recently brought to market as Jemma was looking to pursue other ventures.
Following a confidential sales process with Sofia Beck at Christie & Co, Children’s Choice Day Nursery Ltd was purchased by one of the UK’s leading nursery groups, Kids Planet Day Nurseries, which now has over 300 settings across the UK.
