Cynergy Bank appoints Jill Jones and David Farrow as independent NEDs
Cynergy Bank, a leading SME lender and business bank focussed on a Human Digital approach, today announces the appointment of David Farrow and Jill Jones as independent non-executive directors to its Board, effective from 15 September 2026.

Jill Jones will join the Board’s Audit Committee and will become Cynergy Bank’s Consumer Champion from October, helping ensure customer needs are considered at the highest levels of the Bank’s decision-making. She is an experienced non-executive director, former executive board member and Chartered Accountant. She brings strong audit, risk, governance and business leadership experience across corporate, professional services and not-for-profit organisations. Jill is currently an independent non-executive director and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at DSW Capital PLC and is an independent non-executive director of Cynergy Business Finance Limited, the asset-based lending (ABL) arm of Cynergy Bank. She will remain in these roles.

David brings more than 35 years’ experience in financial services, including extensive experience across governance, risk, strategic finance, transformation and regulatory oversight. He has held senior leadership roles at Barclays, including head of UK Corporate Banking and head of International Corporate Banking, and served as a non-executive director of Barclays Bank Ireland PLC during the creation and operationalisation of Barclays Europe.
The appointments follow the appointment of Kim Rebecchi as chair of Cynergy Bank in July 2026, and further strengthens the Board’s existing depth of experience.
Commenting on her appointment, Jill Jones said: “I am delighted to join Cynergy Bank’s Board at an exciting time for the business. I look forward to bringing my experience in audit, risk and governance to the Board, and to supporting the Bank’s continued focus on delivering for its customers.”
Commenting on his appointment, David Farrow said: “I am pleased to be joining Cynergy Bank at an important stage in its growth. I look forward to working with the Board and wider team, drawing on my experience in financial services to support the Bank’s strategic ambitions and continued success.”
Commenting on the appointments, Kim Rebecchi, chair of Cynergy Bank, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jill and David. Their appointments will further strengthen our existing depth of experience, and they will both bring a strong track record of constructive challenge, sound judgement and values-led leadership, which will be important as the Bank continues to grow in a disciplined and well-governed way.”
