‘Good’ rated children’s home sold in Wolverhampton
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of a high-performing two-bed children’s home in Wolverhampton.
Registered to accommodate two children, the home delivers a high-quality residential care service, as evidenced by its ‘Good’ Ofsted rating awarded at the most recent inspection in 2025. The business is supported by a team of 18 staff members, including the owner, and care is delivered by nine permanent support workers who provide day and night cover.
Situated within a semi-detached property dating from the 1940s, the home was converted into a children’s residential care service by its current owner in 2017. Since then, significant investment and refurbishment have been undertaken throughout the property, creating a high-quality and nurturing environment for children and young people aged eight to 18. The home has since grown into a highly regarded residential care service.
The children’s home is located on the residential road of Burnham Avenue, benefiting from great transport links and being close to a range of local amenities.
The business has been owned by Parvesh Sharma at Skyline Child Care since 2017. Parvesh recently decided to sell the business due to alternative business opportunities away from this sector.
Following a confidential sales process led by Jassi Sunner at Christie & Co, the home has been purchased by Louise Grant, executive director of Pinar Care.
Parvesh Sharma, the former owner of the business, comments, “After many rewarding years of owning and developing Skyline Child Care, I felt that the time was right to pursue new business opportunities outside the children’s social care sector.
Since founding Skyline Child Care, we have invested significantly in the home, creating a high-quality, safe and homely environment for the children and young people we support. We have also prioritised staff development through training and career progression, building a committed and skilled team.
I am incredibly proud of the reputation Skyline Child Care has established, and achieving outstanding ratings has been a huge success story, which reflects the commitment and dedication of the Skyline family.
As the home moves into its next chapter under new ownership, I am confident that the strong foundations we have built will support continued growth and progression. I wish the new owners and the whole team every success for the future.”
Louise Grant, the new owner of Skyline Child Care, comments, “We are delighted to welcome Skyline Child Care into the Pinar Care family. The home has established an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people, which is reflected in its Ofsted ratings.
We would like to thank Parvesh and the wider team for the dedication and commitment they have shown in building such a successful service. Our priority is to maintain the excellent standards already in place while continuing to invest in the home, its staff team, and the young people it supports.
This acquisition represents an important step in Pinar Care’s growth strategy, and we look forward to building on the strong foundations that have been created at Skyline, ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people for many years to come.”
Jassi Sunner, director – childcare & education at Christie & Co, comments, “The children’s home market sees a limited number of operational children’s homes come to market each year, and as a result, new opportunities will always attract significant interest.
Skyline Child Care was a great example of this in practice. Over the entire marketing campaign, we received 90 enquiries in total from a range of different buyers. The main attraction was a children’s home in the Midlands with an outstanding reputation. Our client had really created a very attractive proposition. Having carefully vetted each enquiry, we eventually agreed a deal with Pinar Care, who are a new entity but very proactive in the UK market, and we expect to see them on future deals having got this one across the line.

It was a real pleasure to work with Parvesh on this sale, and our frank exchanges really helped to push the transaction forward. We wish Parvesh all the best with his future endeavours and look forward to working with Pinar Care again.”
The children’s home was sold for an undisclosed price.
