Wolverhampton mum receives £25k boost to help serve the SEN community
Bespoke Assistance, a specialist transportation and support service based in Wolverhampton, has secured a £25,000 Start Up Loan with support from First Enterprise under the British Business Bank’s Start Up Loans programme.
The funding has been used to purchase an eight-seater vehicle, allowing the business to support more children, young people and adults who require tailored transport services.
Founded by Rochelle Hughes, Bespoke Assistance was inspired by her own experience as the parent of a child with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The business provides safe, reliable and personalised transport for people who need additional support travelling to school, appointments, activities and other essential journeys.
The new vehicle has enabled the business to increase capacity while continuing to provide a consistent, person-centred service that families rely on. Every journey is tailored to individual needs, helping passengers feel comfortable, understood and supported.
Rochelle Hughes, founder of Bespoke Assistance, said: “My role is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable and understood. Families have the reassurance of seeing the same trusted person each time, which helps build relationships, routine and trust.
“One of the biggest challenges when starting a business is having the resources to grow at the same pace as demand. The loan made that possible and will allow my business to continue growing and supporting more people in the local community. “
“My experience with First Enterprise and my business advisor was positive. They took the time to understand both my business and my goals, giving me the confidence to move forward with expanding Bespoke Assistance.”
James Minott, business advisor at First Enterprise, added: “Rochelle came to us with an inspiring business that genuinely serves her local community. I’m delighted we were able to help secure the funding needed to support the next stage of Bespoke Assistance’s growth.”
