Fletcher Bond appoints new director
Restructuring and real estate advisory firm Fletcher Bond has appointed Alex Westerby as its new director.
Alex will lead on delivering successful outcomes for banking, lending and insolvency practitioner clients and will work closely with the technical team to ensure that the company’s solutions to complex property situations continue to meet the needs of customers. He will also play a vital role in mentoring Fletcher Bond’s younger surveyors and apprentices, ensuring they gain the skills they need to progress in their careers.
Alex, who is studying to become a Fellow of NARA (Association of Property & Fixed Charge Receivers) and is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an expert witness, has worked in several real estate roles during his career. He joined Fletcher Bond in 2023 and previously held the role of associate director.
Alex said: “My aim is to continually find innovative solutions when clients appoint us to achieve the best possible outcomes from their property portfolios, and to maintain our reputation for excellence in particularly complicated circumstances. Our priority is to always provide best-in-class service.
“I’m also excited by the opportunity my new role gives me to focus on our people, working with younger members of the team to assist them with their personal development. I hope I can draw on the experience I’ve gained to inspire the next generation.”
Rory Dillon, founder and managing director of Fletcher Bond, said: “Alex has shown an exemplary work ethic and operates with a lot of integrity. He has fantastic technical knowledge, which has solved numerous challenges for our clients. Following year on year revenue growth of 40%, I’m excited to see how he can further expand our services in his new role and mentor the young talent that we have working with us.”
