Quantuma expands team in South East with senior hire
Business advisory firm Quantuma has appointed forensic accounting expert, Sue Nightingale, as a director. A seasoned practitioner in litigation support services, Sue will be a key member of Quantuma’s growing disputes, investigations and valuations practice. She will be predominantly based in Quantuma’s Guildford office, working for clients across the London and South East region.
Sue joins Quantuma from a Top 10 accountancy and business advisory firm where she was a director in the firm’s forensic accounting and valuations team, specialising in expert and other dispute advisory business valuations, and broadened her experience to include non-contentious valuations for UK tax and commercial purposes, predominantly for SME and private equity backed businesses.

Prior to that, Sue began her forensic career spending 11 years with a Big Four forensic team working across a broad range of disputes and investigations, including high profile UK and international investigations and quantifying losses in the context of complex, high-value commercial litigation. Sue has held numerous senior forensic accounting positions including working in-house as shadow valuation expert for the UK’s largest specialist family law firm advising on high-value, complex divorce finance cases.
Sue is highly experienced in expert witness and other dispute advisory work in the context of commercial litigation, divorce, expert determination and insolvency proceedings. She acts on behalf of claimants and defendants and has worked with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, partnerships and companies, including early stage and/or fast-growing private equity backed businesses with complex debt and capital structures. Sue is experienced in claims arising from commercial and contractual disputes, business interruption and disturbance, professional negligence and investor fraud. Sue regularly undertakes contentious business valuations in respect of matrimonial proceedings and shareholder disputes.
This latest appointment adds further depth to Quantuma’s growing disputes, investigations and valuations team and follows the appointment of Hannah Griffin, who joined the firm as a managing director in the firm’s Birmingham office earlier this year.
On her appointment, Sue Nightingale commented: “I am delighted to be joining Quantuma and to be working within the firm’s dynamic team. Quantuma has ambitious growth plans which are reflected in a commitment to increase our capabilities in the South East region. I am looking forward to supporting these ambitions and playing a key role in growing the team.”
Quantuma managing director and head of disputes, investigations and valuations, Gavin Pearson responded: “I am very pleased to welcome Sue to the team as we continue to grow our market presence, particularly in London and the South East. It is great to see Sue rejoining Kate Hart and other members of the Guildford team who she has worked with previously.”
