ThinCats strengthens commitment to the Midlands with new head of financial planning & analysis
ThinCats, the leading alternative finance provider to mid-sized SMEs in the UK, is has announced the appointment of James MacKinnon as head of financial planning & analysis (FP&A). James will be based in the company’s Birmingham office, further reinforcing ThinCats’ long-term commitment to investing in the Midlands and supporting the region’s economic growth.
James will lead the financial forecasting, strategic planning and performance analysis across the business. He will work on ensuring alignment with corporate objectives as well as accelerating data-driven decision-making.
With over 15 years’ experience in finance and strategy, James has held senior positions at Commify Group and Scientific Games, where he developed a strong commercial mindset and ability to translate complex data into strategic insight. He has a proven track record of enabling high-performing finance functions.
