ABF and Jelf collaborate to launch new initiative
Alternative Business Funding (ABF) and leading insurance broker, Jelf, has announced a new strategic collaboration, providing Jelf’s 250,000 commercial clients with greater access to a wide range of business funding products.
The collaboration will see Jelf, who recently announced it will be rebranding as Marsh Commercial in January 2020, introduce its clients to the innovative ABF Funder Finder engine. ABF’s designated referral platform, approved by HM Treasury and the British Business Bank, gives small businesses access to a variety of SME funding choices, which can be approved in some cases within hours.
Through the ABF Funder Finder engine, Jelf’s clients will gain access to a wide variety of funding solutions from the ABF portfolio of over 140 funding products from over 100 funders.
ABF brings together the market leaders for business funding from high street banks to alternative funders. The funding products and facilities offered include short to long-term loans, invoice trading, peer-to-peer, and trade finance.
Adam Tavener, chairman of Alternative Business Funding (ABF), said:
“We’re delighted to be working with Jelf on this initiative as they make their exciting transition to the Marsh Commercial brand in the New Year. Jelf’s regional footprint in the UK and strong reputation for providing a personal service to thousands of businesses will allow us to work closely together with these businesses to find the perfect funding match – to help them either grow domestically, purchase new equipment or property, or expand into overseas markets.”
Colin Hall-Tomkin, client management and banking director for Jelf, said:
“Providing access to a wide selection of funding products, through such a respected platform as ABF Funder Finder, is another great way to help our clients. We see supporting clients with their financing requirements being an important element of our quest to be their trusted business advisor and differentiating ourselves from our competitors.”
ABF has been widely regarded as a fintech trailblazer, after it was launched in 2014 as the UK’s first collaborative SME funding platform, backed by then Secretary of State for Business, Vince Cable. The company’s innovative technology allows it to provide small businesses with the only fully automated choice in the market to research directly and find finance for their business. ABF uses straightforward information to match SMEs with a wide range of funders based on the business requirements and against the suitability of the funding product.
