ABL Underwriter – Asset Based Lending – Sussex – M2 Recruitment
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the fastest growing providers of Asset Based Lending in the UK.
They seek an experienced individual to join them as an Underwriter based out of their flagship office in Sussex.
The role will involve performing effective risk assessment on all aspects of a prospect’s business and completing acceptable credit applications in line with the company’s credit policy. Typically this role will include collateral assessment, financial forecasting and the in-depth analysis of complex financial accounts.
This is a senior role that will involve liaising closely with both the business development team and risk teams to negotiate and structure complex lending transactions and ensure there are effective processes in place. There will be also a requirement for accurate preparation of legal documentation involving negotiation with internal and external legal teams.
It is essential that the successful candidate will have previous underwriting experience in a similar lending environment and have the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information. Strong communication skills are required as you must have the confidence to support your view.
The business is particularly interested in applications from ACA qualified candidates from related industries such as Accountancy, Corporate Finance and/or Transaction Services.
