Advantedge Commercial Finance appoints Keith Godfrey as head of sales – South
Advantedge Commercial Finance has announced the recent appointment of Keith Godfrey to the new role of head of sales – South. Keith is responsible for leading and developing Advantedges’ new business presence in the South as the firm pursues a geographical expansion strategy following a successful MBO in 2016.
Keith brings with him a wealth of financial sales experience where he has built a reputation for leading significant growth through his teams. With over two decades of experience including risk and operational management gained across both the mainstream bank and leading independents market. He joins Advantedge from Bibby where he has spent the last three years as head of sales for the Thames Valley.
The appointment comes at an exciting time for the business which has recently rebranded as it pursues a bold growth strategy to bring fast, flexible finance to UK businesses. Latest industry figures reveal a continuing growth in invoice finance with an increase of £300m of funding to £18.9bn, released to UK businesses in the 12 months to end September 2017.
Keith comments:
“Businesses in the South are vitally important to the UK economy and they need easy access to finance to support their growth plans. Advantedges’ commitment to helping business growth based on delivering a fast and flexible finance solution to clients is impressive as their results testify. The business has ambitious plans as seen in our recent rebrand and I am really excited by the opportunity to spread the benefits of invoice finance to more UK SME’s and their advisors. Advantedge really do provide value to our clients with every decision centred around their needs. The opportunity to join a team in the sector, with such a strong commercial perspective, access to large funding pools and a commitment to delivering a market leading service, was impossible to ignore. With funding facilities available up to £1.5m I am looking forward to supporting southern based businesses and their growth aspirations.”
Advantedge has seen consistent growth and have already funded over £2bn worth of invoices to British SME’s and hope to significantly increase that number in 2018. The business attributes this continued growth to delivering fast and flexible finance solutions to clients on their own terms, which is aimed at delivering a transparent and professional service to both intermediaries and clients.
David Tilling, CEO said:
“We are delighted that Keith has joined the team at such an exciting point in our development. Keith is well versed with the challenges that businesses experience when working capital is in short supply and has a proven track record in managing sales performance and delivering workable solutions to support his clients’ aspirations. Advantedge believe in UK businesses and are committed to ensuring their financing needs are met, so they can drive on with their growth plans.”
