Analyst /Associate – Corporate Finance

Our client, one of Europe’s leading alternative investment firms is currently in an exciting period of growth in the UK and looking to bring on an Analyst to join their Corporate Finance team in London. In this role you will support the team in the financing of M&A transactions as well as the (re)financing of portfolio companies and act as contact person for financing partners, advisers, the investment team and portfolio managers regarding all questions related to asset-based and cashflow financing solutions for current and prospective portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal structuring: Initial debt capacity assessment including review of information, preliminary analysis and summary of key findings; assist in negotiation of indicative proposals and term sheets.
- Due diligence: Review of collateral due diligence; assist with financial due diligence; model the finance structure and covenants.
- Investment process: Support the preparation of investment committee papers; take responsibility for preparation of first drafts.
- Execution: Support the deal team with the documentation and negotiations; work closely with external advisors (collateral, financial, legal) and help manage various workstreams; take responsibility for KYC and onboarding processes.
Key Requirements:
- University degree with a major in business, science or engineering.
- Up to 4 years of professional experience in corporate or investment banking (asset-based lending, leveraged finance or M&A), debt advisory or private equity or relevant internships in the above-mentioned areas.
- Basic knowledge of different forms of financing (cash flow & asset-based lending, capital markets)
- Ideally initial structuring know-how of financing solutions .
- Process/project management experience in the context of corporate finance, capital market and M&A transactions .
- Strong analytical and technical skills, including financial modelling.
- Basic knowledge of standard financing and security agreements, key financial figures and covenants.
- General understanding of customary treasury products.
