Announcement from CBC Resourcing Solutions: Nigel Blakey
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Nigel Blakey of CBC Resourcing Solutions. Nigel passed away suddenly on the 8 February 2018.
Nigel started his banking career in 1982 joining Midland Bank as part of the Loughborough University sponsorship programme. He remained in banking with Standard Chartered Bank and then Burns Anderson before embarking on his career in Search and Selection initially with Hewitt Management Selection, subsequently founding CBC Resourcing Solutions in 1992 Miles Clarke and Graeme Chisholm. Nigel was the “B” in CBC.
Over many years Nigel has become a highly respected and well-loved figure in the asset-based finance and invoice discounting industry. He was immensely personable in his consideration and concern for candidates and clients.
He has touched many people with his enthusiasm and determination and will be greatly missed by his colleagues and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A very important part of Nigel’s life was his family, and he sadly leaves behind a wife and three children.
