Aspen Bridging appoints first head of sales
Aspen has appointed Ian Miller-Hawes to the newly created role of Head of Sales, as well as strengthening its underwriting and IT functions with additional hires.
Ian will be responsible for driving the lender’s relationships with introducers throughout the country, not only raising the profile of its products and service standards but also assisting with deals and offering training on the bridging market.
He joins Aspen having previously been head of sales (London) at Market Financial Solutions. Prior to that he worked for Castle Trust and Fleet Mortgages in senior BDM roles.
Jack Coombs, director at Aspen said: “We are delighted to have Ian join the team and we are certain he will be key to helping introducers understand our offering and to building the type of strong relationships on which the business is founded.”
Ian added: “Building key broker relationships, from ‘one-man-bands’ to packagers to international offices, and being responsive to each of their needs, is key to achieving our ambitious lending targets.
“Having just revamped our ratecard with the introduction of lower interest rates and launch of the new Light Development and Rapid Desktop Valuation products, coupled with our best-in-class service, we are in a fantastic position to enhance our status in 2021.”
To meet demand, Aspen has also appointed Laura Randall as an underwriter. She is the latest recruit to enter through the lender’s graduate training programme, having attained a BSc in Psychology from Aston University followed by six years with Warwickshire Police.
In addition Jonathan Caddy has been employed as a senior developer. A software engineer with over 20 years’ experience, he will be responsible for augmenting the existing broker portal with a remit to streamline all application processes to make them as quick, interactive and simplistic as possible.
