Assetz Capital continues South West expansion with business development manager appointment
Assetz Capital, the specialist in property lending, has appointed Amy Salomon as business development manager for the South West, further strengthening its presence in the region.
Amy brings extensive experience from the new homes property market, having worked closely with developers, housebuilders and purchasers throughout the marketing and sales process. Her understanding of how new-build developments are positioned, brought to market and sold will support Assetz Capital’s ambition to identify and engage more SME developers at an earlier stage in their journey.
Working alongside senior relationship manager Robin Bruce, Amy will focus on building new developer and intermediary relationships, identifying prospective schemes and introducing developers to Assetz Capital’s development finance expertise.
The appointment forms part of the lender’s ambition to surpass 1,000 homes supported across the South West and South Wales by the end of 2028. It follows Robin’s recent appointment to lead Assetz Capital’s relationship-led growth across the two regions.

Amy said: “My background in new homes agency has given me a close understanding of the opportunities and challenges developers face when bringing new homes to market. I have seen how important pricing, specification, local demand and sales strategy are to the success of a scheme. I am looking forward to applying that experience at an earlier stage in the development process and helping developers access the funding they need to move their projects forward.
“Assetz Capital has a strong appetite to support SME housebuilders throughout the South West. Working alongside Robin, my focus will be on opening new relationships, understanding developers’ ambitions and helping create a strong pipeline of deliverable new homes.”
Andrew Fraser, chief commercial officer at Assetz Capital, said: “Amy’s appointment is another important step in our strategy for the South West. We want to build a team that is visible in the market, actively prospecting for new opportunities and developing long-term relationships with the SME developers responsible for delivering much-needed housing.
“Her new homes background gives her a distinctive understanding of what ultimately makes a residential development successful. Combined with Robin’s development finance experience, that gives us a strong regional proposition as we pursue our ambition to support more than 1,000 homes across the South West and South Wales by the end of 2028.
“This approach is also central to our wider growth strategy. We are continuing to invest in experienced, regionally embedded teams across key UK markets, giving developers access to people who understand their local market while drawing upon Assetz Capital’s national funding capability and property expertise.”
Amy’s appointment continues Assetz Capital’s investment in its national origination team and its commitment to increasing the availability of finance for SME housebuilders across the UK.
