Assetz Capital strengthens team with new relationship director appointment
Specialist marketplace lender Assetz Capital (Assetz) has added to its growing origination team with the appointment of relationship director John McDonnell.
Based in Cheshire and covering the North West and North Wales, John joins Assetz with a variety of business development and financial services roles under his belt, showcasing strong experience in the technical aspects of development and commercial funding.
Having previously grown his own start-up business to over 35 staff, John holds valuable customer relationship management skills. These will be fully utilised in his role with Assetz, which operates as a relationship-driven originator with relationship directors on the ground in every area of the country.
The move comes as the marketplace lending platform, which specialises in commercial mortgages, bridging and development finance, commits to record lending levels in 2022.
On his appointment, John said: ‘Assetz mirrors my ambitions completely in its relationship-driven approach. My experience is mostly in development funding, so to be working with a market leader in that space is an exciting prospect. I can’t wait to take the ‘real world’ lending approach to market.’
