Azets appoints tax partner as numbers add up for Nottingham growth
Expanding accountancy and business advisory firm Azets has appointed a tax partner for its Nottingham office.
Trevor Shaw was previously with the TC Group in Leicester, in a career including Mazars, Dains and Grant Thornton in the Midlands.
He’s working alongside partners Gary Hyem, a corporate financial specialist, Nicola Bridgeman, who has particular experience in family-owned and owner-managed businesses and Shaun Carpenter, who has been acting for a range of clients in and around Nottingham for 35 years.
Trevor will also be liaising with Lewis Aldridge, who leads Azets’ East Midlands audit team from Chetwynd Business Park, Chilwell.
Lewis, who joined Azets last July from Cooper Parry after nearly 16 years, said: “Trevor brings a depth of experience to help clients navigate complex tax matters – our Nottingham office is growing talent due to commercial demand from businesses and individuals.”
Working with owner-managed businesses through to multinational groups across a broad range of sectors, Trevor said: “It’s about understanding the needs and aims of firms so that together we can develop advice that fits their commercial and personal objectives – not just for today but also in the longer term.”
