Bags with a lot of bottle
Confession is good for the soul they say so I fess up, I have been bought!
Now aged 79 and beset for the past year with polymyalgia, I was planning new ways of journeying with my laptop. I use the train as often as possible and when in London, the tube, bus and Shank’s pony serve well. I long ago gave up on watching a cab meter ticking up while I gazed at the same shop front for ten minutes or more.
My old single strap shoulder bag grows, seemingly, heavier by the long day and does not allow a proper balance when hoofing it so I was contemplating a business style backpack. Those in my possession, and much used by the whole family, bear the branding of Barclays Bank: a legacy of the days when it sponsored the ATP Finals at the 02 and some hilarious times with Gary Davis and other fellow guests including Boris Becker and Kevin Spacey.
Opening my e mail a few days ago, there was Tony Brown of the Orange Door asking if I would like to road test one along with a brief case too. The deal is that if I liked them, that I give them publicity. Happy to oblige as they have a USP in addition to being smart, very functional and just what I wanted Santa, the construction is light, functional and manufactured from recycled plastic bottles. Five of them for my backpack according to the attached promo, something my children and grandchildren enjoyed.
Few of us pass a day without the name of Dell cropping up, our IT stock is exclusively recycled Dells so all credit to the Dell EcoLoop brand for recycling plastic waste so effectively and stylishly too. I am a fervent believer in taking care of our planet, the oceans particularly. My grandchildren approved too though a bit surprised that grandpa was so easily bought, they discovered the secret early on and thought they had a monopoly.
