BDO announces new UK leadership team
BDO managing partner elect, Mark Shaw, has announced his new leadership team describing them as “the team to build on BDO’s heritage while looking to its future”.
Ahead of taking over the leadership of BDO on 1 October 2024, Mark Shaw also restated the firm’s commitment to the UK mid-market calling it the backbone of Britain’s economy.
Mark commented: “Today’s world is uncertain and changeable with UK businesses facing challenges and opportunities like never before. BDO has a history of thriving during uncertain times, stretching back over 100 years to its formation. At the same time, BDO has been a firm that has looked ahead to opportunities on the horizon. BDO’s new leadership team – a mix of continuity and new faces – will continue to do this by building on BDO’s heritage while looking to our future.
“As we open a new chapter of the BDO story, I know that this is a team that will be resolutely focused on the needs of our people and the requirements of mid-sized businesses. We seek the right kind of growth, by which we don’t put our purpose, values, culture or profitability at risk.
“Mid-sized businesses continue to be BDO’s market heartland. By creating one in four jobs and being responsible for a third of UK turnover, these businesses are the backbone of the British economy.”
