Bexley Beaumont expands into Liverpool with first team hire
Innovative boutique law firm Bexley Beaumont continues to attract top talent and has expanded its offering welcoming finance litigation partner Phil Sheard and his team to the firm. Bexley Beaumont launched in January 2020 offering a different way for lawyers to practise law, they have seen exceptional growth over the last 12 months and are now 20 partners strong. Clients of the firm include Colloids, Future PR, Missguided, Village Hotels and Mazars.
Co-founder Bexley told us “Our growth this year is testament to the fact that many lawyers are looking for a different way to practise law, to take control of how, where and who they work for and to be part of an ambitious and growing firm which puts its team culture at the forefront. Phil and his team will be based in Liverpool and the firm aims to have collaborative working hubs in regions across the UK over the next 12 months as the growth continues.
Led by Phil, the team act predominantly for asset based lenders and invoice/trade finance companies including Bibby Financial Services, 4Syte Group of Companies, Time Invoice Finance, Zodeq and TradeRiver UK amongst others, all of whom who have become new clients of the firm. The team acts in relation to secured and unsecured lending as well as for general commercial clients in resolving contractual disputes. They also act for clients in winding up, bankruptcy and enforcement proceedings against company debtors and individual debtors.
Prior to joining Bexley Beaumont Phil was a partner at Hill Dickinson and Brabners. He is referred to in the Legal 500 by his clients as “very responsive”, “knowledgeable” and is cited as giving “comprehensive advice”.
