Following an announcement in January that it was to expand its operations, Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has opened a new office in Warrington to increase its lease finance capabilities.
The new premises, located in Birchwood, Warrington, opened for business this month and are now home to a new leasing team led by head of business, Kevan Langley, who joined Bibby Leasing last month.
Kevan’s team consists of Tim Brogden, Donald Cameron, Clare Cartledge and Stuart Cutler who, along with Kevan, are all former employees of competitor Haydock Finance.
The new office is BFS’ 17th location in the UK and the second dedicated to lease finance, alongside an office based in Yeadon, Leeds.
Though based in Warrington, the new team has a national remit and the finance provider says the expanded team is now looking to increase the business’s leasing market-share.
Carol Roberts, managing director of Bibby Leasing said: “Since the economic downturn, businesses are leaner than ever and more are considering how they can operate more efficiently. This involves reviewing their cashflow positions and considering solutions – such as leasing – which alleviate monetary pressures associated with purchasing new machinery and equipment.”
Speaking of the decision to locate the new office in the North West, Carol said: “We chose Warrington due to its excellent transport links to the rest of the UK and the new office will undoubtedly enable us to increase our leasing capabilities.
Carol added: “We have developed a network of excellent intermediaries and it’s important that we continue to provide a leading service to them and the clients they advise. The new team will be tasked with developing these existing relationships further, in addition to unearthing new opportunities with those providing advisory services to businesses throughout the UK.”
UK chief executive of BFS, David Postings, said: “Leasing is an important part of our business and a key focus of our strategy over coming years.
“We’re delighted to announce the new office opening, which will help us to further increase the support we offer to businesses throughout the UK.”
Plans are now underway to organise an official opening event for brokers, which will take place later this year.
