Bishop Fleming strengthens Midlands accountancy offering with senior Birmingham hires
Leading audit, accountancy, tax and advisory firm Bishop Fleming has appointed Jack Edmonds as partner and Julie Mole as director in its Accountancy team, further strengthening the firm’s growing Birmingham office and expanding its support for owner-managed businesses and SMEs across the Midlands and beyond.
The Birmingham office now comprises nine partners and operates as a full-service offering, supporting clients across audit, accountancy, tax and advisory. The team is set to grow further, with an additional partner joining in the autumn, taking the total to ten. This continued investment reflects the office’s strong momentum since opening, driven by increasing demand from ambitious owner-managed and mid-market businesses.
The appointments bring additional senior capabilities to Bishop Fleming’s accountancy offering. Jack and Julie are joining the firm after working closely together as a team in their previous roles. Their combined experience and expertise span business advisory, compliance, funding support and strategic growth advice. Together they offer unique support to entrepreneurial and mid-market businesses to help them navigate both day-to-day financial requirements and long-term commercial decisions.
Jack joins from Crowe UK LLP, where he worked for nearly 15 years, advising owner-managed businesses and SMEs. His background combines compliance and accounts work with a broader advisory role, supporting clients with growth strategy, profit optimisation, leadership challenges and hands-on business decision-making.

Julie also joins from Crowe UK LLP after eight years, helping businesses secure a variety of funding solutions. Prior to that, she worked in NatWest corporate and commercial banking for over 20 years. In her new role at Bishop Fleming, she will continue to work closely with Jack to support clients with funding readiness, banking relationships and debt advisory-related support.
Together, the pair bring a collaborative approach that will add real value for Bishop Fleming’s clients. By combining strategic business advice with banking and funding insight, they will help clients access more joined-up support as they pursue growth, investment and operational improvement.
Jack Edmonds said: “Bishop Fleming has a strong reputation for client service and for how it supports its people. The values, commitment and enthusiasm of everyone involved aligns perfectly with my own. The Birmingham office’s ambition and the wider firm’s growth plans made this an exciting and compelling opportunity. I’m looking forward to helping grow the team here while supporting businesses across the Midlands and further afield, by delivering a unique package to the SME and owner-managed business market.”
Julie Mole added: “I’m thrilled to join a firm whose values, ambition and collaborative culture align closely with how I want to work with clients. I’m particularly looking forward to the opportunity to build a unique proposition which provides a genuinely holistic approach, bringing together business advisory, funding insight and relationship-led support to help clients move forward with confidence.”
Mark Taylor, Birmingham Office lead and partner at Bishop Fleming, said: “Both Jack and Julie are fantastic additions to our Birmingham team. They bring deep experience, strong market relationships, and a highly collaborative way of working that will be of huge benefit to our clients. Their appointment reflects our continued investment in Birmingham and our ambition to build a market-leading accountancy offering for ambitious businesses across the Midlands.”
Jack and Julie’s arrival reinforces Bishop Fleming’s ongoing investment in experienced leaders and its ambition to expand across the Midlands and South West.
