Black Business Recommendation launch ‘doing-for-self’ £10,000 interest-free business development loan
Black Business Recommendation is proud to announce the £10,000 interest-free business development loan opportunity –
One lucky black-owned business owner will secure the funds to assist with their business growth with an aim to promote the philosophy of ‘doing for self’.
This fantastic opportunity has been devised to encourage the development of black business economic growth, through collective responsibility, networking, financial planning, collaboration, and B2B business support.
Why is BBR driving this campaign?
BBR is focused and determined to meet the demands and aspirations of the black business communities.
They recognise the many difficulties of entrepreneurship and for businesses to upscale especially during an economic downturn. Therefore, BBR wants to showcase how the black community can collaborate to raise funds, that can be redistributed back into the community without reliance on others outside of the community.
Black Business Recommendation is the brainchild of husband and wife duo, Huw and Lorraine Bellot, which encourages people to purchase products or services from black-owned businesses in the UK and Internationally – but it goes beyond buying.
Black Business Recommendation also offers small business owners a collaborative space in which to network, and receive business development advice, training, and tuition to help start, grow or upskill their business practice, particularly in the current climate when many small businesses are facing uncertainty.
The seed for Black Business Recommendation was planted in 1985 when Mr. Bellot would “walk through the streets of London amassing 2,375 black-owned businesses for the inaugural UK Black Business Directory, my first job.” He noticed a lack of support for black-owned businesses, which never left him, ultimately culminating in the conception of Black Business Recommendation in 2017 to spotlight and uplift the black community.
Fast forward to the present day Black Business Recommendation has raised £10,000 for one lucky black business owner to secure to assist in the development of their business.
By recognising and highlighting the fabulous black-owned businesses we have in the UK our support will allow them to achieve economic growth, visibility, development, business strategies, and legacy.
