Blacklake Lodge Residential Home in Stoke-On-Trent finds a new owner through Christie & Co
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of the former Blacklake Lodge Residential Home site just outside Mier Heath in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
This former residential care home comprises 37 bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, and was registered for 37 service users. It was originally developed as a private residence and was converted to care use around 18 years ago. It has benefitted from various extensions and improvements over the years, with the last major extension of a single storey wing added around 1997, which includes 11 single bedrooms. The sale of this home comes with planning permission to add a further 10 bedrooms and some new day space.
The site is located in a semi-rural position just outside Meir Heath in Stoke-on-Trent, and sits at the end of a long driveway behind a private residence in Hilderstone Road.
Blacklake Lodge was previously owned by Mr Steven Dudley, who decided to sell to concentrate on other business ventures.
The business has been purchased by Mr Binoy Mathew, who is a director of another care home in Stoke-on-Trent, and a group of his business partners. Mr Binoy has acquired the site as part of his local expansion plans, and aims to refurbish the home and reopen it once it has been re-registered with the CQC.
Paul Reilly, director – healthcare at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “The sale of Blacklake Lodge created plenty of interest and completed within just 28 days. We are sure that Binoy and his business partners will bring a new lease of life to the business and wish them the very best for the future.”
Blacklake Lodge Residential Home was sold off an asking price of £1,495,000.
