BNP Paribas appoints new commercial director
BNP Paribas Commercial Finance has appointed Chris Hart to the role of commercial director.
He will have responsibility for managing the sales function in the UK, and will report to managing director Tim Corbett.
A commercial banker by training, Chris entered the world of asset-based lending in 2004 and has worked at a number of organisations during the past 11 years. Having spent time in a UK clearing bank environment, and also with smaller independent providers, he has a wealth of experience from right across the industry.
Fluent in both French and German, much of Chris’ time in ABL has been spent in an international context. He is therefore well placed to take up the role of commercial director with a firm whose network stretches across Europe and beyond.
Chris said: “I am looking forward to what is a challenging and exciting role at a very important time in the development of BNP Paribas, as we seek to widen the product range and grow our presence in the UK ABL market. We have a great bunch of people here, and it’s going to be fun.”
Peter Jones, meanwhile, has taken up the new role of director for international business development.
