Cavendish appoints new director to head human capital sector M&A team
Cavendish Corporate Finance, the UK’s leading mid-market M&A firm and part of the finnCap Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of highly-experienced human capital sector M&A specialist Mark Kingston as a director, as the firm continues to grow its sector specialist teams.
For the last 15 years Mark has focused exclusively on mid-market M&A within the international human capital sector, including significant transaction experience in recruitment, talent assessment, training, e-learning, leadership development, employee benefits and SaaS-based HR software.
He joins Cavendish from independent M&A boutique Boxington Corporate Finance, where he led cross-border sales of human capital services and software businesses to strategic trade buyers in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.
His arrival at Cavendish builds on the success and growth of the firms’ business services and TMT divisions which are enjoying significantly increased deal flow and with which Mark will be working alongside closely. Deals on which Cavendish has advised this year include advising Benchmark Holdings plc on its exit of training business Improve International to RJD Partners, advising legal software provider CaseLines on its sale to Thomson Reuters, as well as advising Altodigital, the UK’s largest independent office, service and technology provider, on its sale to Xerox Corporation.
Sam Smith, chief executive of finnCap Group plc, comments: “We are delighted to expand our M&A advisory capabilities in the human capital sector with the appointment of Mark. We understand the value of sector specialism to our clients and their deal outcomes, Mark brings with him deep expertise and contact networks which will further strengthen our already successful M&A offering.”
Andrew Jeffs, partner, business services, Cavendish Corporate Finance, comments: “We are very pleased to be welcoming Mark to Cavendish, especially at a time when many growth businesses in the human capital and business services sectors are assessing their M&A options. We expect to see sustained deal activity as we head into the New Year and look forward to supporting our clients in realising their M&A ambitions.”
Mark Kingston, director, Cavendish Corporate Finance, comments: “I am hugely excited to be joining Cavendish and the finnCap Group at what is a very dynamic time for UK human capital businesses and M&A activity across the sector. Cavendish has an exceptional transaction track record and I am looking forward to working with the wider finnCap Group to provide my clients with access to a compelling integrated service offering across M&A, debt advisory, growth capital and IPO.”
